Profile

In 2022, Franklin Templeton fully acquired Alcentra, allowing us to leverage our expertise across Franklin Templeton's $1.4 trillion AUM platform. Embedded within Franklin Templeton, we now benefit from the resources, breath and scale of a global platform, while consistently focusing on our unique and independent Alcentra/Benefit Street Partners (BSP) strategies. The combined Alcentra/BSP platform is one of the largest alternative credit asset managers globally, with more than 34 years combined global expertise in private debt, special situations, structured credit, collateralized loan obligations, liquid credit and real estate lending.
BSP is a US based alternative credit manager and invests across a range of illiquid and liquid credit strategies, with strong expertise in private lending in both sponsor and non-sponsor transactions.
Alcentra is one of the largest European alternative credit managers, with global expertise in senior secured loans, high yield bonds, private credit, structure credit, special situations and multi-strategy credit strategies.
The combined BSP / Alcentra platform employs a disciplined, value-orientated approach to evaluating individual investments and constructing portfolios focusing on financial outcomes that matter to clients.
