Profil

Vauban is an asset management company specializing in investments in infrastructure that contribute to the sustainable development of local communities and their environments. Through the management of infrastructure equity funds, Vauban invests in the creation and maintenance of essential infrastructures in sectors such as energy transition, digital, mobility and social infrastructures.
Vauban has successfully structured, raised, and deployed seven generations of funds to date, including FIDEPPP (now liquidated), FIDEPPP 2 (under liquidation), BTP IL, CIF Prime, CIF I, CIF II and CIF III. In December 2024, Vauban finalized the fundraising of its 4th generation of core infrastructure fund – Core Infrastructure Fund IV. As of December 2024, Vauban manages c.€10 billion of AuM spread across its existing funds and co-investment vehicles under management. The funds under management have different strategies, with some of them being dedicated to greenfield assets (BTP IL, and previously FIDEPPP and FIDEPPP2) and the others dedicated to mainly brownfield infrastructure funds (CIF I, CIF II, CIF III and CIF IV).

Vauban's business was established in 2005, with the aspiration of BPCE Group to contribute to the merging PPP industry in France, through the creation of the first greenfield French core infrastructure fund (FIDEPPP). Since then, the business has expanded beyond France and become pan European. It has also diversified its investor base from BPCE Group to a worldwide external investor base (more than 95% of investors in Vauban's Funds under management are external to BPCE Group). Since 2014, the strategy has expanded to include both greenfield and brownfield investments.
Vauban's multi-strategy approach (greenfield and brownfield), coupled with our long-term buy-and-hold commitment, are key differentiators that have resulted in an exceptional network of artnerships amongst industrials and the ability to deploy capital efficiently in order to generate optimal returns for investors.
