Since September 2025, Anna de Waele has been working at BAI as an consultant in the Legal and Regulatory Affairs department. Her responsibilities particularly include supporting the association’s work on European and national regulatory requirements in the areas of investment law, investor supervision law, and digital finance.
After studying at the University of Bonn, where she specialized in corporate, capital markets, and tax law, she worked for several years at the international law firm Osborne Clarke in the financial regulatory law team led by Tanja Aschenbeck. She completed her legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the Regional Court of Bonn, with placements at the Administrative Court of Cologne, the Cologne Bar Association, and Osborne Clarke.
Before joining BAI, she was employed as an Associate at a medium-sized law firm in Cologne. Anna de Waele is a qualified lawyer and a member of the Cologne Bar Association.
