Dennis Roitsch has been working as a Policy Advisor for Alternative Markets at the BAI since March 2026, where he covers Private Equity, natural capital, and sustainability topics.
He studied Environmental and Social Sciences with a focus on sustainability at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Lehigh University (USA), and Lund University (Sweden). He is currently pursuing a PhD at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands, researching European forest governance.
Before joining the BAI, he worked as a Research Associate at the European Forest Institute from 2018 to 2023. He then served as a Sustainability Analyst at ÖKOWORLD LUX S.A., working in the team of Verena Kienel.
