Schillo, Markus

Markus Schillo has more than 25 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, and infrastructure, including 13 years in direct and indirect (fund-of-funds) investment activities. He joined the European Investment Fund (EIF) in 2006, where he initially worked on the investment team focusing on VC fund investments in Germany and later held various leadership positions in both front- and middle-office functions. Over the past seven years, he has been a member of the EIF’s management board, serving first as Chief Operating Officer and most recently as Chief Financial and Strategy Officer, where he played a key role in expanding the EIF’s activities into the infrastructure sector. Markus holds a PhD in Molecular Cell and Neurobiology.
