Max Schönfelder, Helaba Invest
Since September 2023, Max Schönfelder has been with Helaba Invest in the Transactions & Strategy Real Assets department. Prior to this, he spent around five years at R+V Versicherung in Wiesbaden as a Senior Portfolio Manager, focusing on infrastructure investments. During this time, he invested approximately EUR 2 billion from the balance sheet in infrastructure over a five-year period.
Before joining R+V, he spent around four years at WTS as a Senior Consultant in the International Project Consulting department, advising on cross-border infrastructure investments for companies including Siemens AG, Linde AG, and MAN Diesel & Turbo AG. Prior to this, he spent around two years at Ernst & Young in Luxembourg, working in M&A advisory with a focus on real estate funds.
He holds an Executive MBA from IREBS, a Certificat d’expert fiscal luxembourgeois from the Chambre des Salariés Luxembourg, and an LL.M. in International & European Tax Law and an LL.B. in International & European Law from Maastricht University.
