Marius Raetz, Linklaters
Marius Raetz advises commercial and investment banks as well as other financial institutions, including FinTechs and neobrokers, on all matters of financial regulatory law. His practice covers M&A transactions, licensing proceedings, relocations and restructurings, regulatory disputes, and communication with financial supervisory authorities.
He has extensive experience across a wide range of products and business areas, including payment and cash management solutions, wealth management and private banking, retail and prime brokerage, custody services, and interfaces with market infrastructure.
As Head of FinTech Germany, he also advises banks and other financial institutions on regulatory matters relating to the use of new technologies and the provision of digital products, particularly in the areas of digital assets, crypto-assets and stablecoins.
Marius Raetz has been a Counsel at Linklaters since 2024. Prior to joining Linklaters, he worked as a lawyer at another leading international law firm. He is a member of the German-American Lawyers’ Association (Deutsch-Amerikanische Juristen-Vereinigung e.V.) and lectures in business law at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA).
