Ivo Schmiedt is the founder and CEO of Vestlane, as well as a fund lawyer with many years of experience in the structuring and regulation of private equity funds in Germany, Luxembourg, Ireland, the UK and the US.
With Vestlane, he has built a platform that digitises the fund industry’s core operational and regulatory processes – from investor and asset onboarding and KYC/AML compliance to tax reporting obligations. Today, over 600 funds and more than 10,000 LPs from over 60 countries use the platform.
Ivo is driven by the conviction that regulatory complexity need not be a competitive disadvantage – provided it is properly addressed through technology. He combines legal expertise with the perspective of an operator who scales these processes in practice on a daily basis.
