Dr Miguel Vaz, Hauck Aufhäuser Digital Custody
Dr Miguel Vaz has been Managing Director of Hauck Aufhäuser Digital Custody GmbH, a crypto custodian regulated by BaFin, since 2022. In this role, he is responsible for establishing and further developing institutional crypto custody solutions for banks, asset management companies and alternative investment funds, with a focus on investments in crypto assets and tokenised assets.
Previously, he worked for organisations including the European Central Bank, the Stuttgart Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Thailand, and has more than ten years’ experience at the interface between financial market infrastructure, regulation and digital assets. He also lectures on digital assets at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
