Alex joined Alcentra in 2013 and serves as Managing Director of the European Direct Lending team and as a member of the Direct Lending Investment Committee. Alex has over 18 years’ experience in the credit markets and has spent the last nine years establishing and growing the direct lending business at Alcentra into one of Europe’s leading Direct Lending platforms. Alex has played a key role in the raising and deployment of over €14bn into the European direct lending market. In addition, Alex leads the restructuring and workout function for the direct lending business and has served on the boards of several of Alcentra’s portfolio companies. Alex has a law degree from the University of Leicester and is a graduate of Nottingham Law School.
